Our team includes medical and surgical oncologists, giving each patient access to the full range of cancer treatment options. Our patients have access to the latest technology and therapies, and support programs to help coordinate your care and address the physical, emotional and spiritual challenges of a cancer diagnosis.

Regional One Health Cancer Center offers a coordinated multidisciplinary approach to help you navigate the most effective oncology therapies to target your specific needs. We work directly with you and your family to develop a personalized plan that may include the following components:

Diagnosis

Effective treatment starts with an accurate diagnosis. Our expert team utilizes lab tests, biopsies, and imaging scans including CT, MRI, ultrasound, PET and X-Ray to understand the nature and stage of your cancer.

Medical Oncology

Some types of cancer respond best to IV or oral drugs that inhibit the growth, reproduction and spread of cancer cells. Depending on your diagnosis, our medical oncologists may utilize chemotherapy, immunotherapy and/or targeted therapy.

Surgical Oncology

Many patients can benefit from surgery to physically remove cancerous tumors and surrounding tissue. Depending on certain factors, our surgical oncologists may perform procedures in a surgery center or hospital.

Gynecologic Oncology

Cancer that begins in a woman’s reproductive organs requires specialized care. Our gynecologic oncologists manage these cancers through minimally invasive surgery and close collaboration with medical and radiation oncologists.

Healing for your body…

Oncology dieticians help you “eat to beat cancer,” while programs like yoga and acupuncture strengthen your body and relieve symptoms. Other services include extensive physical therapy at all stages of treatment; helping patients obtain specialized garments for mastectomy and lymphedema; and ensuring access to needed breast, lung and genetic screenings.

Healing for your mind…

Specialized social workers help you and your family adjust to the diagnosis of cancer, reduce stress and improve emotional wellbeing. We can connect you with support groups and other services and throughout the community such as education, art therapists and mindfulness and meditation teachers.

Healing for your spirit…

A chaplain is available to provide interfaith guidance so you and your family can nurture your spiritual wellbeing and find comfort and meaning during this time.

Financial support

We also understand the financial burdens of cancer treatment and seek to remove this source of stress. Financial advocacy specialists provide guidance including information and estimates on medical costs, individualized review of your financial and insurance situation, and screening for drug replacement, co-pay cards, grants, foundations and other assistance programs.
