For every woman (and man) who woke up this morning thinking, “Tell Me Something Good,” we’re here for you: the Regional One Health Foundation is excited to announce the Queen of Funk herself, Chaka Khan, and international R&B superstar, Billy Ocean, will headline this year’s ONE Night Gala.
ONE Night will take place Saturday, April 13 from 6-11 p.m. at Memphis Cook Convention Center (255 N. Main St).
Event chairs Jennifer Hobson and Suzana Lightman joined Regional One Health Foundation donors and supporters at Memphis’s legendary Royal Studios to share the news that Khan and Ocean will perform at one of the Mid-South’s most impactful events.
Khan’s celebrated career spans nearly half a century. Known for both her powerful vocals and vibrant image, she has won 10 Grammy awards and sold an estimated 70 million records. With three gold singles, three gold albums and one platinum album to her name as a solo artist and several more with the band Rufus, she has kept audiences grooving with hits like “I’m Every Woman,” “Tell Me Something Good” and “I Feel for You.”
She is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominee and has been voted one of the greatest women of rock & roll by the likes of Billboard magazine and VH1.
Ocean has produced three number one hit singles in the United States, including “Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car” and “Caribbean Queen (No More Love on the Run),” for which he won the Best Male R&B Vocal Performance Grammy Award in 1985. With a style that blends soul, pop and R&B, Ocean has sold over 30 million records worldwide.
Now, you can see them both live right here in the Birthplace of Rock & Roll. Visit https://one.bidpal.net/onenight2019/ticketing for ticket and sponsorship information.
