Every brain is unique, and no two experiences of brain injury will be identical. Brain injury can affect every aspect of an individual’s life: physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioral. Memphis Area Brain Injury Support Group seeks to offer support to persons who have sustained a brain injury. Support group discussion topics may include adjustment issues, transition to home/school/work, relationship issues and community resources. Therapeutic activities are designed to maximize coping skills, compensatory strategies and life skills as well as provide opportunities for peer support.
Memphis Area Brain Injury Support Group is facilitated by professionals with expertise in the field of brain injury. Meetings are held the third (3rd) Tuesday of each month and there is no charge to participate. We invite you to join us at a new meeting location, Regional One Health, beginning Tuesday, January 19, 2016.
