The Tennessee Hospital Association (THA) held their 75th annual meeting in November, celebrating 75 years of advocating for hospitals, health systems and other healthcare organizations. During the meeting, Reginald Coopwood, M.D., president and CEO, was installed as chairman of the Tennessee Hospital Association’s board of directors. THA also honored three Regional Medical Center staff members during the meeting.  Pam Castleman, Senior Vice President and CNO, received the meritorious service award for a senior executive. She was recognized for her vision and passion for others and her effective leadership.  Dr. Coopwood received the diversity champion award. He was recognized for his outstanding contributions in fostering leadership, workplace diversity and inclusion both at the health system and in the healthcare community as a whole.  Peggy Simpson, Nurse Manager at Firefighters Regional Burn Center, was presented the clinical nurse of distinction award. She was recognized for her clinical and leadership skills in service to patients in the burn center.
