Staff from Regional One Health Rehabilitation Hospital have formed a special bond with the coach and members of the Memphis Rollin’ Grizzlies, Memphis’ wheelchair basketball team. The team is always looking for new players and staff members at the hospital are always looking for ways to encourage patients. Taking patients to watch the Memphis Rollin’ Grizzlies practice allows them to see individuals who are thriving and very active in their wheelchairs.
Because a connection with the team is so beneficial for our patients, Regional One Health Rehabilitation Hospital will be hosting the third annual fundraiser wheelchair basketball game between the Memphis Rollin’ Grizzlies and the MACE Tigers, followed by Regional One Health’s basketball team vs Saint Francis Hospital. Money raised at the game will be donated to the Memphis Rollin’ Grizzlies to help cover hotel, gas, and food costs for out of town tournaments, as well as equipment and uniforms.
The benefit game will be held on Friday, July 17 at 6 p.m. at Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church, 70 N. Bellevue Boulevard. The price of admission is $5.
