Drs. Nazneen S. Ahmed and Alan Campbell Taylor have joined UT Regional One Physicians. Dr. Ahmed is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. Dr. Taylor is board certified in emergency medicine.
Dr. Ahmed is a gastroenterologist at Regional One Health and an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She received her medical degree from University of Dhaka Medical College in Dhaka, Bangladesh and completed her internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.
Dr. Ahmed followed her family into medicine; her father is a surgeon, brother is a urologist and her son is a physician. She said it’s a family priority to serve people.
“My patient care philosophy has been always to serve our patient population first, but with the change in our health care policy and limitation of patients’ access to health care it has been difficult,” Dr. Ahmed said. “I believe in shared decision making. In patient care, we need to spend time with a patient.”
