Adela Castro, MD is a board-certified rheumatologist at Regional One Health. She earned her medical degree at Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia.

Dr. Castro completed an internal medicine residency at University of Miami/JFK Medical Center Palm Beach Regional GME Consortium and completed a rheumatology fellowship at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Castro has been serving as a rheumatologist at the Hamilton Physician Group Specialty Care in Dalton, Georgia since 2021, where she also served as Assistant Professor of Rheumatology in the Division of Internal Medicine and Family Medicine at Hamilton Medical Center.

Her research has been published in journals including Arthritis & Rheumatology, Annals of Rheumatic Diseases, and The Journal of Rheumatology.

Dr. Castro is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, Association of Women in Rheumatology, American College of Physicians, and American Medical Association.

She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
