Andrew Pierce, MD is a hospitalist at Regional One Heath. He is dual board-certified in internal medicine and hospital medicine.

Dr. Pierce earned his medical degree at East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City. A Memphis native, he returned to the community for his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

As a hospitalist, Dr. Pierce specializes in the medical care of hospitalized patients. Along with his clinical role at Regional One Health, he serves as an associate professor in internal medicine at the UTHSC College of Medicine.

Dr. Pierce has been honored for both patient care and teaching during his career, earning awards including the Quillen College of Medicine Humanism in Medicine Award, Mountain States Health Alliance Servant’s Heart Award for Clinical Medicine, and Lifetime Achievement Award in Excellence in Resident Teaching from UTHSC.

Dr. Pierce is engaged in international medical travel, mentoring college and high school students, and serving the community through his church.
Dr. Pierce and wife Jennifer are parents to six children. He enjoys spending time with his family, and his hobbies include fishing, motorcycling, sailing and exercising.
