Interventional Radiology and Complex Obstetric Surgery services at Regional One Health

Furqan Haider Syed, MBBS, is a board-certified interventional radiologist at Regional One Health. He sees patients in the vascular surgery clinic.

Dr. Syed earned his medical degree at King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed an interventional radiology residency at Emory University in Atlanta and a diagnostic radiology residency at Cleveland Clinic, as well as a preliminary surgery internship at Saint Louis University. He completed an interventional radiology fellowship at Emory University and was a post-doctoral research fellow at Northwestern University in Chicago.

Dr. Syed is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, American College of Radiology and American Society of Neuroradiology.

His work has been published in medical journals including Neuroradiology, Interventional Neuroradiology and Journal of Neurointerventional Surgery. He serves as a reviewer for Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology and Journal of Radiology Case Reports.

Dr. Syed speaks English, Urdu and Punjabi, and outside of work his interests include reading, soccer, badminton, cricket, tennis, swimming and skiing.
