Ganpat Valaulikar, MD, FACS, is a cardiothoracic surgeon at Regional One Health. He is board-certified in thoracic surgery and surgery and specializes in thoracic trauma surgery, VATS and Robotic Thoracic Surgery including lung cancer and mediastinal surgery.
Dr. Valaulikar earned his medical degree from Goa Medical College, Panaji – Goa, India. He completed a residency in cardiothoracic surgery at University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and a residency in surgery at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey/Seton Hall University Surgical Program.
In his academic role, Dr. Valaulikar is an associate professor of surgery in the Department of Surgery/Cardiothoracic Division at UTHSC.
His research has been published in journals including The American Journal of Surgery, The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, and American Journal of the Medical Sciences. He has presented at numerous professional conferences across the country and internationally.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, Society of Thoracic Surgeons, American College of Chest Physicians, American College of Cardiology, CTSNET, Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery Group, and the Howell Wilson Surgical Society.
