Jason Porter, MD is a hematologist and medical oncologist at Regional One Health. He is board certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Porter earned his Bachelor of Science at Christian Brothers University and his medical degree at University of Tennessee Health Science Center, both in Memphis. After finishing his residency in internal medicine, he went on to complete a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Memphis’ West Cancer Center.
As a specialist in hematology, Dr. Porter provides patients with expert care for blood conditions, including cancers like leukemia and lymphoma. He joins a medical oncology team that treats cancer using medical interventions such as chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy.
Dr. Porter’s skill and expertise have been recognized via numerous awards and publications.
He was University of Tennessee Health Science Center’s Internal Medicine Fellow of the Year in 2017 and is a recipient of the school’s Charles C. Verstandig, MD and Jesse C. Turner Scholar awards. His research is published in leading medical journals including Nature Reviews Clinical Oncology, World Journal of Oncology and Radiology Management.
