Laxmichaya Sawant, MD is an OB/GYN Physician at Regional One Health.

She earned her medical degree from Government Medical College, Nagpur and completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences and Ruby Hall Clinic along with fellowship in Family planning at King Edwards Memorial Hospital in India. In the United States, she has also completed Transitional Year and Family Medicine residencies at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Family Medicine Obstetrics fellowship at Clinica Camellia Foundation in Memphis, Tennessee.

Dr. Sawant’s research has been published in the International Journal of Reproductive Medicine, Journal of Basic and Clinical Reproductive Sciences, and International Journal of Pregnancy and Childbirth. She serves as a reviewer for the Maternal and Child Health Journal.

Dr. Sawant is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

She speaks English, Hindi and Marathi.
