Showkat Haji, MD is Chief of Cardiology at Regional One Health and an associate professor in the division of cardiology at University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Haji received his medical degree from University of Kashmir in Srinagar, India and completed his residency in internal medicine at Nassau County Medical Center in East Meadow, NY.
Dr. Haji’s work has been published in numerous academic journals such as the American Journal of Cardiology, American Journal of Hypertension, and the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation. Dr. Haji’s special interests include carotid interventions, ICD/Pacemaker implantation, venous insufficiency ablations, and peripheral and high risk coronary interventions.
