Thomas M. Triplett, MD is an emergency medicine physician and Site Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency at Regional One Health.

Dr. Triplett earned his medical degree from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and went on to do his residency in emergency medicine at University of Tennessee Health Science center in Memphis. He has an extensive formal teaching background prior to medical school and currently runs the medical simulation program for Residents and emergency nurses, techs and pharmacists. The integrated team model is an integral part of complex trauma and medical resuscitation and Dr. Triplett’s monthly simulation exercises for the department help ensure the highest quality care is delivered in the emergency department.

His philosophy for treating patients is to work with his colleagues to ensure quality care. “Health care is a team sport. It takes everyone working toward what’s best for the patient,” he said.

Dr. Triplett got into the field of medicine because he has always had a calling to serve people, and enjoys the daily opportunity to meet new people and work to address their individual needs
