Tomisha Byard, MSN, FNP-BC received her master's degree from Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon, WI. Byard is a certified family nurse practitioner with nine years of experience in the nursing field. Already having four years of nursing experience under her belt, Byard saw an opportunity to better serve patients by obtaining a higher degree.

"I pursued a Master of Science degree in Nursing for three years, while gaining a total of seven years of nursing experience in a hospital setting," Byard shared, "Nursing has been my career passion since I was very young, and becoming a nurse practitioner has truly been a dream come true."

Upon graduation, Byard decided to relocate to Tennessee and start working for the Tennessee Department of Health as a nurse practitioner. "I have learned a lot as I transitioned from bedside nurse to provider," she said, "The most rewarding part of it all is that I am still building relationships with my patients to help improve their health care outcomes or to encourage them to keep doing what they are doing."

Tomisha Byard sees patients at Regional One Health's Harbor of Health location. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m., and 7 a.m.-4 p.m. on Friday. Please call 901-515-4200 to schedule an appointment. Same day appointments are available and walk-ins are welcome.
