Wesley M. Owen, MD is a fellowship trained sports medicine physician who specializes in the evaluation and non-surgical treatment in a range of patients including elite athletes, children, non-athletes, hurt-on-the-job patients, senior citizens, and everything in between. Dr. Owen also has special training in Sports Concussion and ultrasound guided injections therapy for arthritis and PRP.
Dr. Owen earned his medical degree at University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine after receiving his bachelor's degree from University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He completed his residency at University of Tennessee-St. Francis Family Medicine Program and his Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship at University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic Orthopaedics.
Dr. Owen provides sports medicine coverage for the Memphis Redbirds, University of Memphis, Memphis Hustle, Memphis 901 FC, Memphis Grizzlies, Christian Brothers University, Rhodes College, and the St. Jude Memphis Marathon.
He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, Tennessee Medical Association, and Memphis Medical Society.
